Adkirk Law announces appointment to Safeguarding Case Management Programme
Adkirk Law are pleased to announce that Director and Head of Practice Professional Discipline, Deepika Raino, has been appointed to the Safeguarding Case Management Programme (SCMP) – a legal advice service providing guidance and assistance in disciplinary safeguarding matters for sport in the UK.
The appointment follows a vote for membership by a committee of the Sports Resolution’s Board of Directors and will allow Adkirk Law to provide legal assistance ranging from general advice, hearing preparation and representation at hearings.
Supported by Sport England and the National Lottery, the SCMP is a programme from independent not-for-profit dispute resolution service Sports Resolution, which provides assistance to national governing bodies on safeguarding matters and plays a major role in developing and planning dispute resolution services for UK sport.
This prestigious membership recognises Deepika’s excellent track record in professional regulation, in both the sporting sector as well as the healthcare and legal sectors. Her previous experience includes acting in cases involving Badminton England, the General Medical Council and the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority, and she looks forward to working with both the SCMP Legal Advice Service and national governing bodies in her new role.
